Submitted by Edward Hospital

Parking and pedestrian traffic on the campus, 801 S.
Washington St. in Naperville, will be affected as construction begins on a $63.7 million two-floor addition to the hospital’s West Building.

During the 18-month expansion project, hospital officials recommend patients and visitors park in the South Deck, with free valet parking on the ground floor when going to Medical Office Buildings 1 and 2, the Emergency Room or for outpatient services.

When visiting the Main Hospital, Heart Hospital, Education Center and Cancer Center, officials said to park in the North Deck, with free valet parking at the north entrance.

The two-floor addition to Edward’s West Building will create a new 3rd floor with 36 medical and surgical beds and a new 4th floor with 24 intensive care unit beds, according to the press release. Completion of the project is
scheduled for late 2013.
