City's Brush Collection Goes Interactive

New map will allow residents to follow the progress of city crews.

One might wonder if the is just showing off with its latest use of technology.

On Tuesday, the city announced that not only is it making it easier for locals to know when brush pick-up is happening, now residents can track brush pick-up status with an interactive map.

The map is updated each weekday in the morning, early afternoon and late afternoon, providing residents with timely information on the status of brush collection throughout the city, according to a news release from the city of Naperville.

Residents can use the interactive map to zoom in to an area of interest and see detail on where the latest collection has taken place, according to the city. And, the same technology will be used in the future for fall leaf collection.

During the month of May residents are allowed to dispose of the many leftovers from trimming trees and bushes.
