Always Lending a Hand: Whiz Kid

○      Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness (what made him/her successful?): Brigette goes out of her way to go the extra mile with her academics, helping her peers and teachers alike. She is always willing to lend a hand. She went in early before Halloween and winter break to decorate her teacher's classroom for the holiday season. She also came in at the end of the year last school year to help a former teacher take down her decorations. In a classroom setting, Brigette is a true leader and role model. She starts excellent discussions by counter-arguing her peers' ideas in a respectful, constructive way that allows for their intellectual growth. Brigette is the kind of student teachers wish for. She is a well-rounded adolescent who does things just to be a good person, not because she is going to be rewarded. We hope more young adults choose to follow Brigette's wonderful example.
