Adopt Me! Snowball, Tyson, Dutchess, Wiggles

These are just a few of the adoptable pets waiting for homes at area shelters.

Meet Snowball! He is a 5-year-old friendly and active boy who loves walks, chasing balls and playing with fellow dogs! Snowball is good with kids and would love a family to call his own. Snowball is a cute white westie-pomeranian mix that was given up by his owner due to financial hardships.

Tyson is a gentleman who believes in old-fashioned romance. Head rubs are permitted on the first date, but he’s the type to court an adopter before taking the relationship too far. He can be a little nervous in new situations or around cats he doesn’t know well. He is a sweet boy who won't love you and leave you. All he wants is to settle down in a quiet household with someone who wants some cuddle time.

For more information about all of the adoptable pets please contact at 630-355-2299. The shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit, animal shelter at 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville. Visit us at www.adoptpetshelter.org

Meet Dutchess, the Cat of the Week at . Dutchess is an 11-year-old, female domestic shorthair. She came to NAHS after being found as a stray in a neighboring suburb. Being a front-declawed kitty running-at-large wasn’t easy for Dutchess, but she survived and is still a sweet, good-natured kitty. She loves attention from people and would make the perfect lap cat. Dutchess can be a little shy around small kids and other animals, so a quiet home would be best for her. Because Dutchess is a senior cat, her adoption fee is only $50.  If she is adopted by a senior citizen (age 60 or older), her adoption fee would be only $10.

Looking for a lap dog? Then meet, Wiggles, the Dog of the Week at Naperville Area Humane Society. Wiggles is a 2-year-old, male poodle mix who came all the way from Oklahoma to find the perfect family! Wiggles loves to be held and would be the perfect pet for somebody who likes to cuddle. He’s fine with other most other animals, doesn’t mind being home alone for most of the day while you’re at work and is good with kids (as long as they aren’t too small — he doesn’t like his knees messed with)! If Wiggles sounds like the dog for you, please come meet him soon — a pup this cute is sure to be adopted quickly!
