Adopt Me!: Mary, Princess and Tiger

These are a few of the adoptable pets waiting for homes at area animal shelters.

Princess is a 4-year-old female tortoiseshell domestic shorthair and Tiger is a 3-year-old male tabby domestic shorthair. They are a bonded mother and son pair who came to when their family could no longer afford to keep them. They need to stay together, but are super friendly and love to be held. June is Adopt-A-Shelter Cat month, so the adoption fee for an adult cat is only $5 for the entire month. The adoption fee for kittens during the month of June is $100 or $175 for a pair.

Mary is a 5-year-old female Australian shepherd/chow chow mix. She is a very gentle girl who needs a bit of work on her confidence. She may enjoy living with another calm dog and maybe even a cat or two.  She would be best with older kids and a family that will patient and use positive reinforcement when teacher how to live in a new home.  Stop by to take this sweet girl for a walk to get to know her!

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Diehl Rd. in or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.
