Trisha Prabhu, a student at Welch Elementary School, is this week's Whiz Kid.

Each week, Naperville Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.

○      Whiz Kid's School:

○      Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Trisha is an extraordinary girl! She just completed a 140-page novel entitled Miranda that she dedicated to her class.

○      Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness (what made him/her successful?): This fifth grader has written and published many books and is currently in the process of writing another in which she is including fellow students from her class as characters. Not only is she a published author, but she is such a role model for other students. She truly inspires them to want to become better writers and they just dive into the books that she has written! She brings a vast array of knowledge and worldly experiences into the classroom through her contributions each and every day. In addition, she has very high aspirations for herself—they do not stop at being a published author. She someday hopes to be the President of the United States. Although Trisha is only 10, she has the insight and maturity of an adult. A way to describer her is that she is truly an "old soul." Anyone who talks to Trisha can see for themselves why she is she is the perfect candidate for the .
