Whiz Kid: A Well-Rounded, Practical Sixth-Grader

Each week, Naperville Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.

○       Whiz Kid's Name: Ashraya Sreedhar

○      Whiz Kid's Age: 12

○      Whiz Kid's School: Still Middle School

○      Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Sixth grader Ashraya has won the essay contest.

○      Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness (what made him/her successful?): Ashraya was awarded a $2,000 savings bond from Harris Bank last week after best answering the question, “What would you say to your classmates about the importance of financial literacy?” She also plays volleyball, sings traditional Indian music, is a pianist and participates in the Project Arrow program at her school. She works hard, likes to play and saves all of her money for college.
