A Cold Friday: Wind Chill of -20 to -30 in Forecast This Morning

Bundle up! It's going to be a cold Friday morning.

A wind chill advisory has been issued for the Chicago area through 11 a.m. Friday.

Wind chill values could drop as low as 20 to 30 below zero through Friday morning. West winds of 10 to 15 mph are in the forecast.

A wind child advisory means that wind will combine with very cold air to generate low wind chills. If precautions are not taken, this could lead to frost bite and hypothermia.

Residents are reminded to wear a hat and gloves if they must venture outdoors.
