NPL to Offer Programs to Promote a Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Lifestyle

Naperville Public Library will offer several programs in September as part of Healthy, Wealthy and Wise, a community-wide initiative that aims to help the community focus on its physical, financial and emotional health.

NPL will offer a WERQ fitness class in partnership with Fry Family YMCA from 7-8 p.m. on Monday, September 16 at the 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Dr.

WERQ integrates dance moves with pop, rock and hip hop music and is open to dancers and nondancers alike. Certified Fitness Professionals from the Fry Family YMCA will instruct the class and show why WERQ is a fun and popular way to get fit.

To share how to make healthier dietary choices, NPL will offer “Deflame Your Diet” from 7- 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18 at Nichols Library, 200 W. Jefferson Ave.

Dr. Amanda Kuen of Health on Earth Wellness Center will share which foods cause inflammation in the body and which foods are important to add into your diet. Kuen will also share how making healthier choices can lead to more energy and increased resistance to illness.
