Naperville Patriot Youth Football Player Receives Invite to Play in All American Bowl at Citrus Bowl

Naperville Patriots Junior Midget Red player Chris Gore has been invited to represent area at the All American Bowl at the Citris Bowl in Orlando, FL in late December. Chris, 13 years old, is currently being coached by Head Coach Joe Costello and Chris's Dad Dave Gore is one of the assistant coaches.  Chris attended the Offense Defense Camp, a top-rated full contact football camp, o-d.com , at North Central College in June.  While at camp Chris demonstrated his knowledge and talent at the linebacker position and his coaches at O-D camp awarded him the weekly performance award which automatically selects him to the All American Bowl being played at the Citrus Bowl in December.  As honored as Chris and as proud as his family is Chris will most likely not be attending because of financial constraints and lack of funds - Chris will be attending UYFL Nationals in Tampa, FL in early December with his Naperville Patriots team.  Chris's parents gave him the choice of going to Florida to play for himself or for his football team and Chris said his first priority was his Patriot team! His Dad, David Gore, has been his football coach since Chris first started playing football at 7 years old with the Plainfield Prowlers.  Chris would like to thank his Dad for all the years if coaching and encouragement.  Chris also would like to thank his long-time head coach William Lones for instilling work ethic and making him the football player he has become. His Mom, Kim Gore, is a special education teacher at Grand Prairie Elementary School in Plainfield.  Chris is a triplet and his brothers, James and Matt, are also 8th graders at Timber Ridge Middle School in Plainfield.  Chris still holds hope that he will be able to attend the prestigious Bowl game but he is extremely honored just to have been invited to play.  Chris continues to love the game of football and will continue his dream of playing high school and college ball.  He would love to one day make the NFL.
