Naperville Mayor George Pradel (right) shows his enthusiasm for the merger of Edward Hospital & Health Services and Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare during a gift presentation to Elmhurst Mayor Steve Morley at Edward Hospital on July 2.  Mayor Morley returned the favor in a similar ceremony at Elmhurst Memorial as the two mayors celebrated the creation of the new health system, which has three hospitals – Edward, Elmhurst Memorial and Linden Oaks at Edward – revenues of about $1 billion, more than 50 outpatient locations across a service area of 1.7 million residents, nearly 7,700 employees and more than 1,680 physicians on staff.  Joining the two mayors are Mary Lou Mastro (left), President & CEO, Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare and Pam Davis, System CEO.
