LifeSource Blood Drive Next Saturday to Offer Bears Players, Locker Room Tours

LifeSource hopes to revive the “Monsters of the Midway” spirit by inviting fans to its annual blood drive, co-sponsored by Goode Foods, at Soldier Field, 1410 S. Museum Campus Drive, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18. Several players will be on hand to thank donors, pose for photos and sign autographs.

For the first time ever, LifeSource will provide donors with guided tours of the home locker room as it celebrates January as National Blood Donor Month.

Participating blood donors will have the opportunity to meet current Bears placekicker, Robbie Gould, as well as Hall of Fame defensive lineman, Dan Hampton (1979-1990), and former linebacker, Doug Buffone (1966-1979), a team captain for eight seasons.
Participants are invited to bring one memorabilia item to be autographed by the players.

“We’ve been supporting LifeSource blood drives for the past three years,” says former ’85 Champs player Shaun Gayle, who maintains a close relationship with Chicagoland’s largest blood services provider.
“We never get tired of the giving spirit of our fans,” he adds.

Complimentary parking will be available to donors in the North Garage.

To schedule an appointment, register online at lifesource.org and use sponsor code 599E or call 1-877-LIFESOURCE (1-877-543-3768). Donors are asked to eat well, stay hydrated and bring photo identification.
