Did You Know?...

If two people are carriers of the recessive gene responsible for SMA and have children then EACH pregnancy has a 25% chance that the child will have SMA, a 50% chance that the child will be a carrier, and a 25% chance that the child will be unaffected.  Screening is available and simple.
