Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School Creates Food Drive Christmas Tree to Help Underprivileged Seniors and Children
Naperville, Ill. (Dec. 11, 2013) – On Dec. 11, students from Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in Naperville presented a Food Drive Christmas tree to the Humanitarian Service Project to help underprivileged seniors and children in DuPage and Kane Counties. Students collected a variety of items such as canned fruits and vegetables, boxes of oatmeal and macaroni and cheese to create the tree. At the donation event, a representative from the Humanitarian Service Project thanked students and picked up the food-inspired Christmas tree.
The mission of the Humanitarian Service Project is to alleviate pain and suffering that poverty brings to needy seniors and children living in DuPage and Kane Counties. For more information, visit www.humanitarianservice.org.
