This Italian Piedmont Wine Dinner will feature the wines of Michele Chiarlo, a modernist in a very traditional region.
Gino Catalano, an Italian wine importer of Kobrand Corp., will speak about the wines during the dinner.
The meal will begin with Ostrica Crudo, Kumamodo oysters with pear, lemon and basil paired with a 2010 Michele Chiarlo Gavi; Polpo Grigliato, grilled octopus with fagioli gigantic, marinated sundried tomatoes and lemon vinaigrette, paired with a 2009 Barbera d' Asti Le Orme; Coniglio Cacciatore, braised rabbit with crushed San Marzano tomato sauce, cipollini onions and herbs, paired with a 2008 Barbaresco; Filetto e Tartufo, grilled filet mignon with truffled risotto, paired with a 2007 Barolo "Tortoniano"; and Chiacchera al Limone, fried dough with ricotta dolce, lemon curd and acacia honey.
The five-course dinner cost will not include tax and gratuity. Reservations are required.
