DESCRIPTION:Local preschool children will hop to help the Muscular Dystro
 phy Association (MDA) fight muscle diseases affecting children and adult
 s. &ldquo\;Hoppers&rdquo\; will collect money from family\, friends and 
 neighbors for every hop they make during an allotted timed period &ndash
 \; typically anywhere from 10 to 150 hops during the week of April 16\, 
 2012. &nbsp\;\nThis will be the second year Little Blessings Preschool h
 as participated in the MDA Hop-A-Thon. They continue to make this event 
 a successful learning experience for the students by teaching them not o
 nly disability awareness\, but also that by coming together they can mak
 e a big difference one hop at a time. In 2011\, the kids raised $5\,529\
 , and have set this year&rsquo\;s goal at $6\,000! More than 300 student
 s will participate in the event.\nThe Hop-a-Thon will take place at Litt
 le Blessings Preschool located in the Alleluia! Lutheran Church at 4055 
 Book Road in Naperville. The kids will hop during their scheduled music 
 class time throughout the week.\nAssistant Director\, Katharine Kuester 
 said\, &ldquo\;Our parents really supported the Hop last year and we wer
 e so excited especially since it was our first year.&nbsp\; We are plann
 ing on another great &ldquo\;Hop&rdquo\; this year!.\nThe Hop-a-Thon cul
 minates a week-long disability awareness program in which teachers educa
 te children about muscles\, disabilities\, diversity\, and helping other
 s. Donations raised from the Hop-a-Thon help MDA send more than 60 child
 ren with muscular dystrophy from the surrounding area to MDA summer camp
  at Camp Read Leaf in Ingleside\, IL from June 17th-23rd. Funds also ass
 ist with repairing wheelchairs and leg braces\; fuel worldwide research 
 seeking treatments and cures to more than 40 neuromuscular diseases\; an
 d much more.
