Sandack Attends Groundbreaking Ceremony for Hub Group’s New Headquarters

OAK BROOK, IL – State Sen. Ron Sandack (R-Downers Grove) attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Hub Group’s new “green” headquarters in Oak Brook on August 1.

According to their release, Hub Group, founded in 1971, is a $2.8 billion asset-light freight transportation management company providing comprehensive intermodal, truck brokerage and logistics services.  The Company is relocating its more than 300 employees from Downers Grove. Headquartered in the transportation hub of North America, the Company has about 1,600 employees and operates a network of offices throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.  The new four-story, Class A office facility will have room for growth, with capacity for more than 800 employees.

The 130,000 square-foot international headquarters is the first new office building in the village since 2000 and will feature high-efficiency HVAC, energy efficient lighting controls and storm water harvesting.  It is the company’s goal for the new building to achieve LEED Gold status when it is completed in late 2013.

Still waiting to hear why Sandack lied to the IFI and URF about gambling to get endorsements. After saying he would not, Appointed Senator Sandack voted for the biggest gambling expansion in Illinois history.

He took cigarette lobby money too, along with gambling money. Wait for his vote to allow smoking in casinos and bars too. Never a concern for people, just for money and power.

Sellout, fraud, liar. Quite the resume, Appointed Senator. No wonder you fit right in down in Springfield.

Still wondering if you have actually just personally asked Mr. Sandack about why he voted the way he did on issues that concern you rather than just this continual rant you place in the Patch whenever his name is mentioned (no matter how off topic it is)?

Doesn't respond Barry. Will you ask him too? Maybe he'll tell you?
