Woman Arrested After Fight Breaks Out at Downtown Naperville Bar: Police
Shaletta N. Thomas, 26, of Aurora, was arrested early Sunday morning around 12:38 a.m. and charged with two counts of battery and one count of obstructing a peace officer, police said.
A woman was arrested after a fight broke out at Bar Louie in downtown Naperville this weekend, according to the Naperville Police Department.

Shaletta N. Thomas, 26, of the 2100 block of Middlebury Drive in Aurora, was arrested early Sunday morning around 12:38 a.m. and charged with two counts of battery and one count of obstructing a peace officer. All charges are misdemeanors.
Police said Thomas allegedly grabbed a patron by the throat and threw her to the ground after Thomas and a group she was with was involved in a verbal altercation with the patron.
Bar Louie staff and other patrons stopped the fight and Thomas was taken into custody by police, according to a release.

should be "were involved" because it was Thomas and a group.
If it was just Thomas or the group, then was would work.
It's just like saying, "Thomas and Jones and Smith were involved..."
