Naperville Police Department reports, Feb. 24-26

Friday, Feb. 24

Warrant arrest

  • Niki Leah Bernardy, 26, of the first block of North Bereman Road in Montgomery, was arrested at 4 p.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Avenue, police said. She was charged on an original warrant connected with retail theft. Her bail was $2,000.
  • Douglas Patrick Wnek, 46, of the 1500 block of Selby Road, was arrested at 1:32 p.m. in the 700 block of South West Street, police said. He was charged on an original warrant related to assault. His bail was $5,000. 

Possession

  • Police said Martin Samir Crawford, 28, of the 7700 block of South Paulina Street in Chicago, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. in the 500 block of North Route 59 and North Aurora Road. He was charged with possession of cannabis and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $1,500.
  • Joshua David Bohannon, 22, of the 700 block of West Liberty Drive in Wheaton, was arrested at 4:31 p.m. in the 700 block of East Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, retail theft, resisting an officer, theft of labor/services, retail theft and violation of a bail bond. Police said he was arrested after stealing candy and he also left a business without paying his restaurant bill. His bond was $120.
  • Philip Frederick Koenig, 23, of the 700 block of West Liberty Drive in Wheaton, was arrested at 4:38 p.m. in the 700 block of East Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with drug paraphernalia. His bond was $120. 

Unlicensed

Felix Octavio Lozano-Diaz, 22, of the 100 block of North Fourth Street in Aurora, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. at Liberty Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving unlicensed. His bail was $1,500.

Vehicle burglary

A 39-year-old man in the 400 block of Fairway Drive reported someone threw a rock through the driver’s side window while it was parked at the Metra commuter lot and stole a TomTom GPS with the power cord, police said.

Saturday, Feb. 25 

Driving under the influence

  • Joseph Stephen Gurke, 29, of the 21000 block of Franklin Circle in Plainfield, was arrested at 1:48 a.m. at Champion Drive and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with speeding, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to signal. His bail was $3,000.
  • Police said Eugene Paul McNeill, 54, of the 500 block of Fessler Avenue, was arrested at 2:38 a.m. at Cortland and Westglen drives, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, failing to signal and improper lane use. His bail was $3,000.
  • Blairr S. Mitchell, 22, of the 300 block of South Edgewood Avenue in Wooddale, was arrested at 5:03 a.m. at North Route 59 and North Aurora Road, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper parking on a roadway and failing to notify the Secretary of State of an address change. Her bail was $3,000.

Possession

Brandon Alexander Jackson, 20, of the 2800 block of Kentshire Court, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. at his home, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, consumption of liquor by a minor and on two outstanding warrants in Will County. He was taken to the Will County Jail.

Resisting arrest

Police said Charles Everett Mitchell, 22, of the 700 block of West Liberty Drive in Wheaton, was arrested at 2:49 p.m. in the 900 block of East Ogden Avenue. He was charged with resisting an officer and theft of labor/services. He left a restaurant with another man before paying the bill of $47.40. His bail was $1,500.

Retail theft

Someone reported that a soccer jersey valued at $80 was stolen from a business in the 4900 block of South Route 59, police said.

Sunday, Feb. 26

Battery

Hector A. Arroyo, 26, of the 500 block of California Avenue in Aurora, was arrested at 1:09 a.m. at Rizzo's, 6 W. Jefferson Ave., police said. A bouncer told police he witnessed Arroyo punch another person during an altercation, reports said. He was charged with battery. His bail was $1,500.

Possession

Michael Cameron Nietert, 19, of the 1100 block of Regent Drive in DeKalb, was arrested at 10:58 p.m., police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis and on a warrant from DeKalb County. His bond was $120.

Driving under the influence

  • Jeremiah John-Baptiste, 36, of the 1100 block of Brockton Court in Aurora, was arrested at 2:22 a.m. at North Route 59 and Meridian Park, police said. He was charged with improper lane use, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver, driving while uninsured and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.
  • Shaun Steven Grabavoy, 19, of the 2200 block of Blackburn Court in Aurora, was arrested at 2:36 a.m., police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, consumption of liquor by a minor, violating the lights and lamps act, disobeying a traffic control signal, failing to signal, not wearing a seatbelt, driving while uninsured, zero tolerance law, and not having a valid registration. His bail was $3,000.

Uninsured

  • Jose Angel Nunez-Nevarez, 26, of the 700 block of Inland Circle, was arrested at 8:56 p.m. in the 1500 block of Fairway Drive, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, disregarding a stop sign and driving while uninsured. His bail was $2,000.
  • Police said that Anthony Darnell Hill, 27, of the 500 block of North Princeton Street in Villa Park, was arrested at 8:50 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Aurora Road. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and driving while uninsured. His bail was $2,000.

Criminal damage

A 69-year-old man in the 1400 block of Culpepper Drive reported that between 6 p.m. Saturday night and 5 p.m. Sunday a double-pane window was shot out by two BB’s causing holes in the glass, police said. The damage was about $1,000. 

Vehicle burglary

Police said a 45-year-old man in the 3800 block of Sunburst Lane reported that a vehicle was burglarized.
