Plainfield Man Gets Prison Term for Apartment Burglary

Adrian Rodriguez, convicted in a DuPage County bench trial, stole $620 in electronics equipment, report says.

A Plainfield man will spend 3½ years in prison for burglarizing a Naperville apartment this past spring, a DuPage County judge has ruled.

Adrian Rodriguez, 23, was found guilty of felony residential burglary in a bench trial and was sentenced Wednesday by Judge Kathryn E. Creswell, according to a report in the Naperville Sun. He will also serve one year's court supervision and pay $345 in fines and legal fees, the report said.

On April 24, Rodriguez and a female accomplice broke into a ground-level apartment in the 700 block of Inland Circle by removing a window screen, the report said. They stole a flat-screen television, Xbox game system, radio and a DVD-VCR player, with a total value of $620.

According to police reports, the female accomplice is a relative of the victim, the report said. She remains at large, police said.
