Pedestrian Hit by Metra Train in Critical Condition at Edward Hospital
Woman struck by westbound BNSF Metra train on Thursday afternoon in critical condition.
A woman who was struck by a Metra train at the Route 59 station in Aurora-Naperville on Thursday afternoon is in critical condition at Edward Hospital, Chicago Tribune reports.
The woman was hit on the north side of the station by a westbound BNSF Metra train shortly before 2 p.m. on Thursday, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Officials closed the area to train travel after the incident, but it has since been re-opened, Chicago Tribune reports.

It's been a while since I've been to that station but from what I remember, you can't cross the tracks. There is a tunnel UNDER the tracks. How the heck did this woman get hit by a t5rain?
