Naperville Marine Welcomed Home

Members of the Naperville community welcomed two U.S. Marines home Wednesday evening. One a Naperville native, another who lives in Texas.

Operation Welcome You Home Illinois organized a homecoming to remember for Naperville native Cpl. Jake Tannenbaum and Lance Cpl. Richard Boschero of Texas. The two were paraded through town with a police, fire and Patriot Riders escort before a ceremony with family, friends and other guests at Naperville's Judd Kendal VFW.

A Naperville flag line and crowds adorned in red, white and blue greeted two Marines Wednesday evening, upon their return home from Afghanistan.

Cpl. Jake Tannenbaum, 21, was a 2008 graduate of Neuqua Valley High School. He was deployed to Afghanistan in February. There, he was part of the Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel, known as TRAP, as well as Private Security Detail.

Lance Cpl. Richard Boschsero, of San Antonio, Tex., joined the U.S. Marine Corps about three years ago, according to a news release from Operation Welcome You Home Illinois. His duty station is at Camp Pendleton in California.
