Every Wednesday, Naperville Patch does a column called Wonderful Wednesday, which shines a spotlight on people doing good things in the community. In honor of Thanksgiving this week, we thought we would do a special column in which readers can reflect and share all that they are thankful for this holiday.
To get things rolling we are sharing this story today because we want to allow you the time and opportunity to contribute before you begin to think about that turkey dinner or Black Friday shopping.
All you need to do is comment at the end of this story and tell us what you are thankful for. If you have a photo that represents what you are thankful for (maybe a new baby, new house, new pet) you may add it to this story too!
To get things going, I will share some of the things I am thankful for this year.
I am very thankful for my wonderful father Peter who at 84 still thinks I am his little girl and who always makes sure I have food in the fridge and a car that runs safely. I am extremely thankful to have this job and to be the local editor for the city I have called home for the last four years. I am thankful to have a silly little cat, Kiki, that always brightens my day. I am also very thankful and grateful to have some incredible, wonderful friends who inspire me to be better every day! Lastly, I am grateful I found yoga, which brings me an incredible amount of joy!
Now it is your turn. What are you grateful for this holiday season? Share in the comments, and please feel free to upload photos and videos!
