From Boutiques to Bars, New Downtown Naperville Businesses Popping Up
Downtown Naperville Alliance executive director Katie Wood said eight new shops and restaurants have opened their doors to customers in the downtown area within the past few months.
While residents and visitors have been filling the sidewalks of downtown Naperville all summer, many business owners have been busy filling shelves and opening their doors to customers for the first time.
From boutiques to bars, a number of new businesses have been popping up around the downtown area within the past few weeks.
“We are delighted to welcome so many new shops and restaurants in Downtown Naperville,” said Downtown Naperville Alliance executive director Katie Wood in an email. “This is yet another indicator of the strength and vibrancy of our downtown.”
Wood highlighted eight new locations including Room 363, 232 W. Washington St., Campbell Hill Upscale Resale, 236 S. Washington St., Francesca’s Collection, 25 W. Jefferson St., Jackson Avenue Pub, 7 W. Jackson Ave. as well as four restaurants.
“Downtown businesses strive to be the destination that people choose first for their shopping, dining and service needs. These exciting new businesses – apparel, home decor and cuisine - provide even more reasons to come downtown,” she said.
Room 363, a lifestyle store specializing in vintage home decor, clothing and redesigned furniture is set to hold a grand opening Aug. 16 from 5 to 9 p.m. Normal hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, starting Aug. 17. Room 363 will offer everything from upcycled flea market finds to artisan-made items.
Only a few steps away from Room 363, shoppers can find the recently opened Campbell Hill Upscale Resale, which opened its doors on Wednesday, Aug. 1. The boutique, located across from Amber Waves Salon, provides upscale new and gently worn women’s clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories.
Currently, Campbell Hill offers items from designers such as Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Nanette Lapore, Lululemon and a number of other upscale labels.
The owners of the shop, Amy Campbell and Ana Hill said they are excited to meet their new consignees and customers in their fun and chic boutique. Shoppers can stop by during normal business hours, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
After a day of shopping, you’re sure to build up an appetite. Wood recommends to check out any of the new restaurants in town like Jackson Avenue Pub, Pizzeria Neo, Q BBQ, Green Basil and the soon-to-open Fiamme Pizzeria.
