Crews were dispatched shortly before 1 p.m. to Rosin Eye Care, 705 E. Ogden Ave., after a late model Buick sedan crashed and lodged itself into the side of the business. The driver was trapped inside the car, according to a release.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle and refused to be transported to a hospital. Four Rosin Eye Care employees in the building at the time of the incident did not require medical attention, according to a release.

A city inspector determined that parts of the building would have to be supported by structural shoring.

Units from the Naperville Fire Department remained on the scene for another two hours until the building was deemed structurally sound, according to a release.

The exterior wall of the building was still being repaired around 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Damage to the building is estimated at $50,000.
