A Naperville man was killed after his car collided with another vehicle in southwest Michigan Sunday, as reported by the Associated Press and Daily Herald.

Authorities said 84-year-old Erdman Spradlin of Naperville was driving westbound on Interstate 94 in Michigan near the Indiana border when his vehicle crossed the center median and hit a car traveling eastbound, according to the Berrien County sheriff's department. 

Spradlin died at the scene, according to the department.

Authorities said Spradlin’s 84-year-old wife sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
