Cricket

Age: 4 years old

Breed: Brown, tabby, Mackeral

Background: At  A.D.O.P.T. Since March 2011.  She is a transfer from Naperville Animal Control.

Personality: She is an extremely affectionate and laid back cat with VERY explicit markings.  Being involved is her motto.  She would be at your side when you want her and not there when you don't.  She is waiting for a lap to call her own! Please come to A.D.O.P.T. and ask to meet Cricket in the Sun Room!

Adoption Fee: $50

Other: All animals at A.D.O.P.T. are vet checked, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and are up to date on age related vaccines.

Where to find these pets:  For more information about any of the cats and dogs we have available for adoption, please contact A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter at 630-355-2299.   All animals are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and are up to date on age related vaccines.  The shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit, animal shelter at 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville.  Visit us at www.adoptpetshelter.org.

Luke

Luke is a 7-year-old male front declawed domestic shorthair.  He found his way to NAHS when his owners developed allergies and although they tried very hard to keep him, the allergies won out.  He may be 7 but acts much younger.  Luke can be a bit shy in new situations but once he’s relaxed he shows his true, sweet nature.  He should be fine living with other animals and would do great with kids as long as they give him some alone time too!  This handsome, charming kitty can be adopted for only $5 during the month of March as part of our ‘Desperate Housecats’ promotion.

Wally

Wally is a 1½-year-old male Yorkshire Terrier who was surrendered to NAHS when his family realized they didn’t have the appropriate amount of time to care for him.  Although he’s small, Wally can be a bit feisty and has a lot of energy.  He needs a home with older kids and patient parents who can work on his manners. He’s got a lot of love and enjoys playing – could he find a playmate in you?

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Diehl Rd. in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.
